In diesem 4-wöchigen Online-Crashkurs lernst Du die Grundlagen der Musiktheorie, speziell aus der Sicht von Cellist:innen. Wir beschäftigen uns mit Rhythmus, Tonleitern, Tonarten, Akkorden, Harmonielehre, Gehörbildung und den Grundlagen der Improvisation. Das Ziel ist nicht trockene Schultheorie, sondern zu verstehen, wie Musik wirklich funktioniert. So kannst Du neue Stücke schneller lernen, selbstbewusster mit anderen musizieren und Deiner Kreativität freien Lauf lassen.

Der Kurs eignet sich für erwachsene Anfänger:innen, Wiedereinsteiger:innen und fortgeschrittene Cellist:innen, die ihre musikalischen Grundlagen festigen und mögliche Wissenslücken schließen möchten.

Keine Vorkenntnisse in Musiktheorie erforderlich.

🇬🇧 Take your cello playing to the next level in our weekly Intermediate Cello Lab.

This class is designed for students who have a solid foundation on the cello and are ready to develop more advanced technique, musicianship, and repertoire. Over the course of our work together, we have progressed well beyond the fundamentals and are now working at approximately the level a student might reach after two years of consistent private cello lessons.

In this course, we work on:

• 🎻 Shifting between positions
• ✋ Finger extensions and more advanced left-hand technique
• 🎵 More complex rhythms and rhythmic independence including sight reading
• 🎶 Developing a stronger, more controlled bow technique and dynamics
• 📖 Expanding music reading and understanding of musical notation
• 🎼 Learning more challenging repertoire and musical passages
• 👂 Improving intonation, listening, and ensemble awareness
• 🎯 Building confidence with more demanding cello techniques

Classes combine technical exercises, musical repertoire, and group playing, giving students the opportunity to strengthen their individual skills while learning to play together as an ensemble.

This is an intermediate-level class and is best suited for students who are already comfortable with the basic fundamentals of cello playing and are ready for more challenging material. You should be comfortable with Minuet 2, Rigadoon, Or early book 2 Suzuki songs.

🇩🇪 Sauber spielen lernt man nicht mit dem Auge. Und schon gar nicht mit dem Stimmgerät! Und wenn der Arm beim Lagenwechsel fest ist, ist es unmöglich, Töne exakt zu erwischen.

Und dann gibt es diese Momente, wo alles von selbst läuft. Es ist magisch, wenn die Finger mit Leichtigkeit treffen. Und Intonieren sogar zum Ausdruck wird, indem z.B. ein Leitton besonders scharf gespielt wird.

Wie wäre es, wenn du mit deinen Schüler*innen kreativ und mit Spielfreude am Thema Töne und Klang arbeiten könntest?

Wenn du eine Struktur und viele Ideen im Hinterkopf hast, die dir helfen, aus dem Moment heraus, eine passende Übung zu erfinden?

Eine Übung, die auch direkt Musik ist und gleichzeitig die Intonation stärkt? Und du im Einzel- und Gruppenunterricht wüsstest, wie du deine Cellist*innen spontan zum Miteinander spielen bewegen könntest – und sie dabei Musiktheoretisches praktisch erleben?

🇬🇧 You can’t learn to play in tune just by looking. And certainly not with a tuner! And if your arm is stiff when changing positions, it’s impossible to hit the notes exactly.

And then there are those moments when everything just flows naturally. It’s magical when your fingers hit the notes with ease. And intonation even becomes a form of expression—for example, when a leading tone is played with particular precision.

How would it be if you could work on the topic of pitches and sound with your students in a creative way that fosters a joy of playing?

What if you had a framework and plenty of ideas in mind to help you come up with a suitable exercise on the spot?

An exercise that’s actually music in itself and strengthens intonation at the same time? And what if, in both individual and group lessons, you knew how to spontaneously encourage your cellists to play together—while letting them experience music theory in a practical way?
