Cello Meet-Up and 3rd TKV Salon

The third Tonkünstlerverband Salon will take place in cooperation with the Berlin Cello Academy. The event is aimed at cellists both within and outside the association, but all other interested musicians are also warmly invited.

We invite professional cellists—especially freelancers and teachers — to gather over snacks and drinks to discuss their work as musicians and/or educators in Berlin. The event will also feature insights and discussion contributions from guest speakers and the Tonkünstlerverband Berlin (http://www.tkvberlin.de/). The event will conclude with a sight-reading party of several pieces for cello ensemble.

This event is free but we kindly ask that you register. If you'd like to bring a +1 you can do so in the order form.

Planned talking points from 15:30:

• What and Who is the Berlin Cello Academy

• Sue Schlotte and CelloByHeart

• Payment guidelines as a means of encouraging professionalization among independent musicians

• For the Working Cellist: Open Talk on Freelance careers, taxes, teaching, finding gigs & students in Berlin

There will also be free discussion periods and Q&A for each of these talking points and throughout the event - if the weather allows also in the garden.

From approximately 18:30 we will begin the cello ensemble music sightreading party.

Der dritte TKV Salon wird in Kooperation mit der Berlin Cello Academy stattfinden. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Cellistinnen innerhalb und außerhalb des Verbands, aber auch alle anderen interessierten Musikerinnen sind herzlich eingeladen.

Professionelle Cellistinnen, insbesondere Freischaffende und Lehrkräfte, werden sich bei Snacks und Getränken über ihre Arbeit als Musikerinnen und/oder Pädagoginnen in Berlin austauschen. Hinzu kommen Impulse und Diskussionsbeiträge von Gastrednerinnen und aus dem Tonkünstlerverband Berlin (http://www.tkvberlin.de/). Zum Abschluss werden einige Stücke für Cello-Ensemble vom Blatt gespielt.

Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos, wir bitten jedoch um Anmeldung. Wenn ihr eine Begleitperson mitbringen möchtet, könnt ihr dies im Anmeldeformular angeben.

• Honorarrichtlinien als Mittel der Professonalisierung selbstständiger Musiker*innen

• Für den Berufscellisten: Offener Vortrag über freiberufliche Karrieren, Steuern, Unterricht, die Suche nach Auftritten und Schülern in Berlin

Zu jedem dieser Themen sowie während der gesamten Veranstaltung wird es freie Diskussionsrunden und Fragerunden geben - bei schönem Wetter auch im Garten.

Ab ca. 18:30 werden wir anfangen mit der Cello-Ensemble-Musik Party.
